Adwords is a difficult changing landscape to manage. Many small businesses avoid it because it is complicated. Others over invest without really knowing if it is really working well as a lead generation tool. I have come across two resources that can really assist.

Wordstream have a Adwords Grader Tool that will give you some information about whether your adwords is optimised. Even if you have an agency looking after your account it is worth doing this.
