SBS has a great series called Small Business Secrets. 

"According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, more than 90 percent of Australians use the internet to search for products and services, however only 60 percent of SMEs have a web presence"

A word of warning however, while any small business can build a web presence, to maintain a website and ensure you are found by Google you need to have an IT or Digital Marketing Expert.
