Tools you need when working with a marketing agency

When you start to work with a marketing agency or consultant there are a few tools that will really make your life easier. Here are my recommendations.

1. Screen capture software.

This is important so you can share feedback on ads, web changes or even show text that you want to be changed. I like the tool called Snagit and it comes with a MAC and Windows version. It is around $76 but will save you hours this is important so you can share feedback on ads, web changes or even show text that you want to be changed. 2. Adobe editor

Most agencies will share documents or brochures as pdfs. The Adobe editor tool allows you to mark up a document with comments and suggested changes in a snap. Adobe Acrobat Reader allows you to add notes and it is free.

3. Head Set

Lots of our meetings are now happening over zoom so it is a good idea to invest in a good headset with a mic. Logitech has some good options.

4. Password and Logins

One of the first things you will be asked for is all your passwords and logins to your social media accounts. Smartsheethas a great excel sheet for this purpose.

5. Image Library

Usually, when you start with a marketing consultant they will ask you for your Style Guide and images. Sometimes you don't have the budget to do photography so you need to use stock images. Unsplash.com is a good site as a starting point. Another great resource is ChamberofCommerce.org for images.
